I am experienced enough to know that it’s,
that I’ve accomplished all that I can accomplish here at CPS. So with great pride in the accomplishments
we’ve all made as a team, I resign as CEO of Chicago Public Schools. We’ve made much progress, though there’s much
more work to be done. And I stand by ready to assist in an orderly
transition. I hope when this chapter of my story is written,
that people will say that even good men can make stupid mistakes, but that a 30-year career
of integrity and accomplishments stands the test of time. And I look forward to the next chapter. Thank you.
